thank you. I wanted to post some pics for along time but couldnt figure out how, and it wasnt at the top of my priority list. my wife actually did it for me. I built the truck ground up out of rust free parts years ago,wished i would have put the cummins in it sooner. we have 6 kids and do alot up in the mountians together so 4drs is nice. I have the parts to build another one for my wife. she,s always wanted a big black truck so thats my next project. she deserves it. it will be 1st gen cummins powered of course, got a couple of good engines sitting around. I want to post pics of my dads 92 xcab dually with only 39k miles next.

My favorite truck year,make and model...........how much shoehorning did you have to do to fit the 12V in there? What did you do for gauges? Did you retain the Ford gauge cluster?

Nice rig......WOuld like to see your dad's rig as well.

i like the 76-77 grill so thats what i used. drivetrain-dodge nv-4500 to ford borgwarner t-case,dana 60 front and rear. I,ve got several bigger rear axles to swap in when i get time. 3:54 gears. i used a ford oil pressure sender and water temp plumbed into the cummins so all my origanal guages work. i put the dodge pulley on my ford alternator so wiring was easy. grid heater and ksb on manual switches. dodge hydrolic clutch assembly but i had to reinforce firewall to push clutch cylinder against. i wanted a cummins powered truck for years but couldnt afford one till they got cheaper around here a few years ago. thanks for comments !

Looks nice. I hope to have my truck looking as nice as yours by the end of summer. It's cool seeing the look on peoples faces when you drive up with a Cummins powered Ford isn't it?

thanks for responses. the cummins is what really makes it useable. I tow alot with it, its rarely as clean as i would like. passing people uphill when towing is the best. 3x the power and fuel economy vs the built 460 gassers i tried before is nice.
