Are the engine adapter plates(flywheel housings) on 727, 518, and Getrag equipped trucks all the same? I'm sure this has been answered before but I couldn't find it. Thanks

Since that was easy, where do you find an adapter for a 4L80E trans behind one? They have great gear ratios for a diesel, can hold 1,200 whp/wtq all day when built, and cost half as much as a built 47re or rh.

True until you factor in a used adapter for around $400 or new at over $1,000; then you will still need the custom aftermarket controller costing in a starting average range of $900 and up. Kinda kills the bargain part really quickly.

Just need the plate and flywheel. No controller needed if you want to go with a manual valve body and TC lock up switch. I found some of the 4bt applications had 4L80E's behind them, so if I can get ahold of one of those I'd have everything I need. Then send the trany to FLT and have them build it with a manual VB and a billet convertor.

I didn't see the Getrag in there at first. I am not positive if they are the same as the auto trucks. I believe they might be different.

Yes, getrag compatibility is key, since I'm looking for one for that purpose. Anyone who's done an auto to manual swap care to chime in? I don't want to buy something that's not going to work.
