Anyone ever ran 6x.020 injectors? If so what were opinions?

They are HUGE, almost too big for a VE. KTA made more power with 6x14s (I think- maybe 6x16) than 6x22s. Too big an injector, too little pressure/ volume from the VE to atomize it well. That's to say nothing of the fuel supply system you'd need- a FASS 150 with 1/2in lines or better for supply, plus turbos to keep air to it. Not undoable, there are better options, IMO.

I run 6-18's with a 14mm h/r and I can burn all the fuel they put out. I use a lot of nitrous mind you. If I had gotten the 14mm/4mm combo to work I bet I could supply a set of 6-20's. Hard to say, unless your lookin for 700+hp dont bother though.

On a single turbo set up, Brian (KTA) made more rwhp with a set of 6X16's rather than 6X18's. When he installed his twins, he made more rwhp with the 6X18's rather than 6X16's.

It seems if you are going to run a single turbo, 6X16's are the best choice, but running twins, 6X18's would be the way to go. I'm sure there are a lot more factors, but I thought it was pretty interesting.

Or go completely nuts and get a 66mm sled puller turbo with a 14cm exhaust, 4200rpm gov spring, 60lb. valve springs, and 6x18's. Oh, and the 14mm H&R. That might make some power, once you spooled it that is. lol

Where can one buy the 6x16 injectors, do they have to be custom made, and what is the price on a set of six? Would they be considered a 60-80 HP injector as far as a measurable gain? Better than DDP 80's??

They take your stock injectors you have in it now and they hone them out to whatever size you want i think so they are custom. 6x16's are pretty big but they're not too big . Considerably bigger then pods and bigger then DDP 80's. I'd say there good for a 100 HP gain with wannadiesel pump tuning.

If your drive line can hold it.

I thought someone hit 501whp with 6x16's and a 12mm pump. Making 400whp with them should be easy and smokey. lol

Oops your right, for some reason I was thinking he blew the 14mm H&R pump then dynoed 501whp with the 12mm pump. I guess I watched the videos backward.

lol im in the process of adding more air, so im thinkin about either a set of 6x18's or 20's. Id say ill stick with the 18's. It all deppends on what the dyno says.
