I found a 6bta cummins motor and was wondering what the difference between pumps and blocks there are, the guy says its a 250 hp pump, any difference or is it just turned up? also has the water to water after cooler, wondering if its worth 300 bucks, guy said it cracked the exhaust manifold and got water in the cylinders

would it work on our motors?

 

Not 100 % on your motor but i have seen industrial motors that were in firetrucks and few other applications that were rated higher HP than the Dodge Cummings. these had ve pumps in them too, they were similar motors. Same as the marine motors only problem is they are very hard to find because they had such a long duty cycle on them and when they went out they were scrapped

 

i thought they had some little upgrades like thicker or better steel in the blocks, heads etc. i thought sheid diesel trys to find industrial motors for that reason, if everything is the same but the hp then ya it should work fine.
