66mm and 5x16's

Just bought a 66mm turbo of my buddy. It's off of his pulling truck and it was just rebuilt. He told me to run a set of 5x16's and the ve would hold it no problem. Can anybody give me more input? I am trying to source an nv4500 to build up a bit. Would I need to get anything done to the head? How much hp do ya figure I would be throwing down?

That's mighty big turbo for a VE pump.

You will need more than 5x16's... Minimum 6x16's, I have 5x25's and with a T-3 manifold its still doggy. I have seen 5x18's and a bd diverter valve work ok.

I already have a dennyt stage 2 pin and a lift pump. I'm to worried about instant spooling. It is the manual trans and I will spend most of its life in the drag strip
