I have a dealership around the corner and need to adjust my valves and thought I would change my valve springs out to accomodate the US Gear exhaust brake as shown in my sig. Do I need to change all the springs out or just the 6 exhaust springs? Does anyone know the part # for these springs? Advice on the change out would be appreciated. Hey, while I'm on this topic, do I really need to change out the valve cover gaskets? I changed them out 24,000 miles ago already....they are grey in color, if that matters(maybe reusable? Used to come black.) Carmyne

yes all you need to change are the exhaust valves as for part numbers I don't know

and as long as the gaskets aren't torn and are still plyable they can be reused

 

PDR has a good set of directions on their site. All the vendors can sell you a set of springs, just pick one and tell them what you want.

 

All you need for the brake are exhaust valves, but while you're already doing the job you ought-as-well do all of them and throw in a 4200 RPM spring while you're at it...
