518 n 727 differences

Hey guy's are the dip stick'sand the tubes on the 727 n the 518 the same ? or different tryin to gather part's for the crewcab . have a tranny but no dipstick

Sorry, Yes, they are the same.

The A518 (AKA: 46RH), the later 47RH & RE, and the 48RE are all essentially a 727 with an overdrive section added.

Certainly the later versions include upgraded parts, but most of them are interchangeable. For example, in my mess, while it's the original A518 case, it actually now has 2007 48RE shafts, planetarys, etc.
