5 inch exhaust questions

i got two free used 5 inch slash cut stacks and am trying to figure out how a 5 inch pipe will fit by my t-case and crossmember, should i just run 4" till i get by that then boom out to my 5" i only got a 4" home made downpipe. i don't really wanna do a body lift and already have a 4" flexpipe jammed around it all and theres no room and it rattles like crazy at idle cause its touching everything any other solutions yall came up with to make room or any ideas????

If you pull off the transmission crossmember support (the piece that bolts to the upper frame rail and then to the tranny support) there is enough room to get 5" there, but it is TIGHT! You can't run 5" straight pipe, you'll need to have a small bend to get it to clear. I was going to run 5" on mine but I didn't think it was worth the time to get the 5" to clear, so now I've got a 5" DP to 4" exhaust. I don't think I would have even noticed a difference with 5" vs 4".

Ya it is impossible to fit the 5 inch around the t-case without it rattling. I tried and just ended up getting a 4 inch downpipe and the piece around the t-case. Check out source automotive I got all the pieces from them for a good price.

Mine fit fine with a few binds. No rattling at all. You have to do like Ilikebikes said. I dont know about the performance part but it makes a ton of sound diff. Plus I like to have things that almost nowone else has. It will fit it just takes some time to get it right.

I know that my 5" DP to 4" straight pipe sounds awesome! You won't be disappointed.

I love the 4-5 inch. I got the second gen 5 inch tailpipe section and it fit good, i just had to move the shocks a little. It is alot deeper sounding than a 4 inch system.
