4x4 front end troubles / steering
I recently upgraded my steering shaft to a borgenson. Great improvement. During the installation I had to really beat hard to get the pin out from the spline input shaft to the steering gear and ended up creating a small power steering fluid leak around the input shaft. It's a few drops per minute, I have the seal kit but have not had time to fix it so I'm just keeping an eye on the fluid level.
Now the issue I'm having:
When I turn into a curve at moderate speed I have to turn the steering wheel "too far" over. Then at some point in the curve the truck will turn sharply into the curve and I have to correct the steering wheel to keep it on the road. Only 70k miles on the truck so I do not think king pins. Any other ideas?

Was this happening before the shaft install? If so you may have damaged the gearbox (when mine went on my 91 it acted the same way). If not look at the mounting bracket for breaks, and the frame for cracks (visible when u have a helper turn the wheel). Also, check the front leaf spring mount--on the left--for movement. Lastly, the u joints going bad also can produce this behavior (death wobble also can happen).

This developed after I did the shaft. Oddly not right away. It didn't show up close to a thousand miles. I do think it's a deteriorating condition. I really wouldn't be surprised if I did damage the gear I really had to fight that pin out with a 3lb hammer.

death wobble is usually caused by broken kingpin bushings and/or worn out kingpin springs. so that doesn't sound like your problem.
a front u-joint is what I first suspected when reading your post. but it's less likely the cause because this only started happening after you f'ed with the gear box. so I'd probably suspect the gear box. have someone turn the wheel while you watch the gear, does the input shaft look wobbly like it's bent? make sure the gear is tight to the frame/frame bracket.
if it ends up being the steering gear and just the seal kit would not fix this problem, i'd highly recommend a red head steering gear. you will not regret it.
