Clutch not work

Clutch not work

replaced factory 13" clutch with O"Reilly stock replacement 12 1/4" after all done neutral safety doesn't work so I jumped around it pickup will start but clutch will not work I didn't have the hyd apart at all it is working but will not totally release if it adjustable I would lengthen the throw

It could have air in the system. Some have bleed screws on the slave cylinder some don't
Mine does so I don't know how to bleed one with no bleeder. some on here have done it though.

what year truck?

didn"t thank that I would have to bleed cause I didn't have hyd system open

I am thinking that when the slave was off the bellhousing it extended and possibly sucked some air into the system.
Otherwise it is the wrong clutch.

How did you end up with a 12 1/4" clutch kit to replace a 13"?

OK that make sense, have another new one to look and measure order in than I will send back to make sure its right which should have done to begin with but got in hurry

sorry mknittle I was just reading through replies and saw your question
How did you end up with a 12 1/4" clutch kit to replace a 13"?
This was O'Reilly oem replacement
the truck is my buddy's I'm replacing clutch for him he said he wouldn't be doing any heavy hauling and cost was a factor
