4X2 to 4X4 manual trans

What does it take to bolt an NP205 to a 4X2 getrag or NV4500? Can it be done? Thanks.

You'll need the getrag 4x4 style mainshaft, tailshaft housing and coupler to bolt to an np205 29 spline input case. I recommend using a divorced unit with 32 spines on all three shafts... no trans mods necessary... and good luck finding a 4x4 mainshaft outside of buying a whole new trans.

Okay. Thanks. Just wondering if it was reasonably possible. This is actually for a my buddy's 4bt project going into a lifted Eagle 4X4 car. We don't really think there will be much room for a divorce transfer case.
