I suppose 1 or 2 of you have been wondering about this. Well, finally gathered up enough parts to breadboard a mockup. Needs a little more tweaking but looks promising. Still may be quite a while before I can put a finished product on the truck and try it. Here is a better description: Speed Alarm For Cars Circuit Diagram (learningelectronics.net). Transmission control mods:
Remove everything associated with IC2d.
Replace VR1 with a dual TPI equivalent for IC2a and b.
Modify IC2a for continuous output instead of momentary.

Luckily I got the Compushift Mini 2 back when it was like $350 I believe. It doesn't require bluetooth to use but you can program/monitor everything with that. If you have a cheap tablet I'm sure you could use that, doesn't have to be a cell phone.
It is on my phone but I know some cheap android tablets are around $100-$150.

Controlling the Compushift Mini 3 is via Bluetooth, no cell service required. And, I believe Bluetooth is only required to adjust it - it should have factory default settings that will probably be good for 99% of people.
I have mine in the box, just not installed or played with it yet. But from what I've read, that's how it works.
