47RH for my 92 2wd
47RH for my 92 2wd
About a 2 mouth ago I was given a 47rh core for my truck. So its now time to get it torn down to see what Ive got one good thing is that the fluid is nice and red. Things I will be doing with the truck is pulling a trailer most likely not more that 10,000 lbs most of the things I tow weight 2-6000 lbs Lathes and milling machines and my 65 satellite hot rod. What should I do to the trans. I will put new clutches and steels and bands in it what other parts should I look at nothing in the budget for bullet shafts . Ken

Your gonna want a good torque converter, preferebly a towing triple disk.
And a shift kit or a complete valve body.
I'd call up Dave Goerend and talk to him, tell him what you do with the truck and such and he'll tell you exactly what you need to do, recommend you a converter or even build one custom. Hes hard to get a hold of sometimes but don't give up.
