4000lb Axle or not??

4000lb Axle or not??

Stupid question, how do you tell if you have a 4000lb axle or not, I am ordering poly a arm bushings and rear leaf spring bushings.

I think the 4500 lb front axle was standard, i could be wrong

from what ive gathered and have been told several times is the 4000lb axle was the gasser axle and the 4500lb is the diesel. all parts computers ive seen concur with that also

That's funny my gasser dana 60 was a 4500 lb
axle I think the 250's were 4000 and the 350 was 4500

Wanst the 4500 lb axle only in a 4x4? My truck has a 4000 lb and my buddies 93 d350 also has a 4000 lb axle.

4,000 pound front axle= 2wd Diesel.
4,500 pound front axle= 4wd Diesel.

It's on the decal in your doorjamb.
