4" lift compatability?

My question is will the front springs from a first gen 4x4 fit a chevy. I know the front axels are interchangable, I'm just thinking this would ensure a good ride and lift with the extra weight. The other obvious option is to go with a 6" gm lift, cause it will be 4" with a ctd, but I think ride quality would suffer. Thanks.

You could measure the springs... chevy fronts are 52"s dont know about dodges.
I would buy the tuff country softrides. Especially if your putting them in a smallblock truck.

The chevy spring perches are about 1/2" wider than a Dodge is also.
