3rd gen tailpipe on a 1st gen

In the process of figuring out what to do for a tailpipe for my 3"/4" muffler, it was suggested by several to find a stock 4" tailpipe offf of an '04 or new CTD. I'm getting close to acquiring one. What I need to know is that if someone knows for a FACT that the bends in an '04+ will fit mine ok? I don't wanna spend $100+ for a 4" tailpipe.

i had an 03 4*4 tailpipe on my truck before. it was a banks monster and it hung low. if u have the capability to cut and weld it to make it higher go for it. PM me with ur email and i can show u pics of what it looked like. i backed to far one day and hit a curb and bent the tailpipe. i now have one of an 05 duramax on there that looks really sweet. i can show u how i did that one to just PM me with ur email

I made my 5" out of old stacks and it looks mandrel bent. They were free. I think a 3rd gen would look OK.

Sorry, don't think I ever got them.
Send to dan@srt.com

Thanks

I'm starting to think now that I'll just forgo the 4" tailpipe plan, get rid of the muffler I have and save up for a nice 4" Stans system.
