351ve, should I get it? Who has done it?
Hello all. I have the possibility of purchasing a he351ve/vgt turbo from a 07 6.7 Dodge.
The motor needs a crank kit, but I believe it runs still. The guy said he'd part the motor and would sell me the turbo.
It was replaced 7 months ago, so I'm guessing it should be pretty much a new one.
What should I look for/watch out for?
Should I snag the oil lines while I'm there? Anything else?
This will be going on my 93 Cummins engine that will be residing in my 85 crew down the road.
Any tips?
I will need an adapter to connect it to my manifold, I know. Iplan on using springs to let the exhaust work the vanes, but would appreciate more schooling by those who are experienced.
I also plan on some sort of cable actuation for the exhaust brake feature.

I don't know a whole lot about the turbos but I have purchased one. I'll be picking it up in the next couple of days and there is a guy on 4bt forums that makes a controller that works off of a boost sensor in the charge pipe.
It'll probably be about 2 - 4 weeks until I put it on my truck but I'll post back with my impressions. I'm thinking of making my own manifold adapter and downpipe. Also going to tap into the coolant lines for the servo.
