Reading the sticky....refers to the "foot" and that is it ground down in some applications. What is the benefit of this? Performance? If so, to grind it, what do you guys do to get in that tight spot(hand held grinder?) Or do you remove it out of it housing?

the foot grind is only for play trucks, i would not d it on any truck that you tow with.

but if thats what your going to do, you could use a file, die grinder or remove it and use a bench grinder, if you leave it in a grind it, make sure you clean it well

 

You might want to just take it out and try it. That way if it's way too smokey, you can just put it back in.

Your right foot will be the only AFC with it removed.

 

Oh...its just to make smoke...is that the jist of it?

Yes, this is a work truck. I plow and dump with it.

basicly yes smoke untill the turbo lights, if you want to see what it will look close too pull the afc spring and then drive it

 

No, it lets the governor lever travel further which means more fuel/power. An unfortunate side effect is smoke at low boost.

I would not do it to your truck. As was said, it's a play truck kind of mod.
