Get used to that response, 'why?' I'd call that Bosch shop back up with that part number, it will cheaper and quicker for you to get one. Anytime you go in somewhere with no part number they'll give you that run around and won't wanna open the books, too much work. Got a part number, thats no problem, they can look it up in the computer. If no luck there, or you don't wanna go back, www.piersdiesel.com, won't be shown on their site, have to call them, but you'll pay more than $14 for one there. I had www.scheiddiesel.com get me a few different springs recently. As long as I gave them a part number, and their puter said it was a good pn and I have money, no problem!

Watch the pin that the spring hooks to in the bottom pump section. It is spring loaded and might take off. I had mine apart this weekend and dropped the damned thing three times. Finally had to have the wife hold it in place while I hooked the spring back up. Maybe its just me!

It isn't just you, Stan. I have lots of respect for the guys who have done that job by themselves, I can't imagine doing it without a second pair of hands.
