2wd death wobble
for some reason today i was driving along faster than i should have been
and i easily pushed in the brake and the whole truck started this death wobble, and it shook the steering wheel
. so i looked at the steering shaft for play, none, so i checked the steering box/bracket, and no cracks just some play in the box itself, so is this steering, if so how do i tighten the box. and if not could it be P
rated tires on the front, and LT rears. or is it rotors or is this just normal
and i should get used to it

I would try it at several speeds and see if the truck pulls to one side or the other. i know mine will pull hard one way or the other under moderate to heavy breaking but I have not had time to look at it yet. Mine also has some big ugly stone chuckin tires.
If it does pull one way or the other I would definately check the calipers for stickiness and the pads for uniform wear. I don't think the tires should affect this. If it were tires from what I have experienced it is more noticeable at slow speeds when the cords start to let go you will actually feel the tire wobble like it is coming off of the rim.

Mine has vibrated since day one, even with new rotors, pads, calipers, hoses, bearings and rtaces, the whole bit. I did notice my brackets the calipers slide on arent perfectly straight/ flat anymore; it looks like they had rusted from the time it spent sitting and not being driven. I havent taken it apart to file it back down, but when I do, and if it works, I'll let y'all know.

gomerpile, only truck i've ever noticed it on actually has p rated 255/70/16 in it. i am planning to change them out with some 235/85s that i have, i'll let you know how it affects this.
No king pins on 2wd, check your ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, & wheel bearings.
I had a 4 x 4 death wobble & i actually had to take the upper pivot bushings out & inspect them to discover they were bad!!
