2nd gen or powerstroke intercooler

2nd gen or powerstroke intercooler
Is there any know difference (besides physical dimensions) between a 97 Dodge intercooler and a 99 power stroke intercooler, as far as flow and efficientcy. Is one just obviously the better flowing, I can't see it.

I've noticed on the 2nd gen intercoolers, they have 3" inlets, but then they get squooshed it looks like to get them to fit in the dodge trucks. I think the Powerstroke intercoolers flow better, at least thats what it looks like to me. The Powerstroke intercoolers fit pretty well considering, just follow the writeup in the sticky.
