2nd gen Intercooler

OK, I red the sticky. Why is a 2nd gen intercooler harder to install on an intercooled truck than the PS. I have a 2nd gen intercooler available to me cheep.

two different core supports, and radiators, the earlier truck has the 32" wide radiator? the 2nd gen cooler is wider, later truck is crossflow radiator thats taller, and allows the ps cooler thats very larger

2nd gen IC is easier to install on a Non-IC 1st gen truck than a 1st gen IC.

Well at least I made one good purchasing decision about my truck. Why are the non-ICs easier?

The IC 1st gens have a less wide radiator, IIRC, and the 2nd gen Intercooler goes around a non IC 1st gen radiator nicely. Don't get me wrong theres some cutting and fabricating, but I am plum happy with mine.

Thanks for the replies. Rats, now I'm going to have to pay twice as much for a PS intercooler.

That's the place. Nothing local so I'll be paying shipping also. Not cheap up here.
