I want to replace my water pump with the newer style impeller with the ring, I went to all the parts places nearby this morning and all I could find was one that supposedly is for a 2002+ 24 valve...I am under the impression that these pumps are all the same, is this true? Can I just bolt this thing up? Nobody I went to had any in stock for comparison

 

i would imagine they're interchangeable. they should have 2 mounting bolts just like ours. wouldn't hurt to buy it, see if it bolts up with no problems and make sure it spins freely. if not, i'm sure you could return it right away.

 

I've heard that even the new 6.7s use the same water pump.

Hell i think the water pump from a military 5 ton 8.3 is the same.
