No. I don't remember the soec's off the top of my head, but they are different.

Why -- who knows . . .

I just sold my 2004 wheels to a guy that put them on his 92. They fit with no problem at all. The only thing that neede modifying was the center caps on the front wheels. He had to cut a hole through the middle of them but other than that they will fit.

Both trucks were 4x4. I do know for a fact that they do fit because the guy came to my house before buying them just to insure the fit. He literally took off the old wheels and mounted my 04 wheels in my driveway before handing over the money. We were in the same boat as you not knowing if they would fit or not, which is why he test fit them before buying. Hope this helps. travist

It's the newer cheby's and Ferds that have the new metric 8 lug pattern I believe, that won't fit all the older 8 lug trucks.

I don't have pics...yet, but a neighbor of mine has a 90' 4x4 with 2k4 wheels/tires on them. Just have to run them capless or modify the caps to fit.
I believe its the chevy's and ford's that no longer fit.

Isn't the backspacing alot deeper? Meaning the wheels are set deeper in the fenderwells?

I tried on of the newer wheels (not sure what year 2002 i think) spare tire with 35" BFG and the tire aon my 92 and they did not fit . backspaceing was much greater. My stock steel rims aree 7" wide and have 4.5" backspacing..
