2.5" Skyjacker or 4" with bags?
2.5" Skyjacker or 4" with bags?
My goals are to put a lightweight cabover and get a nice setup for mostly sand. I'm looking at the 2.5 or 4" skyjacker kit, the premium not the add a leaf or block, with bags on the rear and gas bilsteins all the way around. My question is can I get 35's on with a 2.5? I'm worried about being too topheavy with a 4". Thanks

I have a light weight 8 ft, Pop up, slide in camper.
I use it in my '85 crew cab, Cummins W-350 with a 6 inch Sky Jacker lift and 35 or 37 depending on where I am going.
I have put lots of highway miles, and wheeled in on some moderate trails with that set up, and it felt totally safe.
35s will most likely fit with a narrowish rim like a 8 inch wide or less, with the 2.5 inch lift.
I ran 315/75/R16 on my crew with NO lift on 8 inch wide rims 10 years ago, with very little rubbing.
If they rub a bit, a little trimming of the wheel wells goes a long way....
