I gurantee, once you sell it, you will regret it for a long time to come. Everyone that I run into that had a 1st gen regrets losing it, and I am sure most will agree on here. Convert yours over. some dude on the Dieselpower mag did that with the p pump and so can you. if it is a need for a bigger vehicle for kids, look at other options, maybe an inexpensive used van or something. Whatever you do, van, 2nd gen, whatever, keep the 1st gen!!

Now that is a sweet truck! Ebay bidding will be hot and fast and high.

But I would keep it and buy some other cheap kid hauler.

Thats a sharp truck. Make sure you get whats its worth if you "must" sell it. It looks much better than most of the 10k trucks on ebay.

They 12v 53 block doesn't have the same problems that the 24vs do, right?

jslamerman, what a nice truck. I would definitely keep it!

The P-pump is superior to the VE, except for the lack of mechanical (dynamic) advance. The VE is nice because you can advance the pump quite a bit and not have the 2nd Gen rattle and pop at idle. I have been thinking about a way to put an advance mechanism on a P-pump but am not there yet.... then I'll convert.
