electric fans
i plan on installing 2 chrysler minivan electric fans on my truck and get rid of the factory clutch fan. why?? cause that helicopter blade they call a fan has to be causing all kinds of horsepower loss and drag on the front of the motor. ive done some research on various gas and diesel sites and have concluded they are the best stock fans you can buy. i was going to use a aftermarket fan but they are too much money. i can get everything i need for the fans for probably 80 bucks. the 2 aftermarket fans i was going to need were almost 140 with everything. anybody did this or dealt with this.

I'm pretty sure the stock fan clutch when fully locked in pulls close to thirty hp away from the motor. Everywhere I've found a decent electric fan they always post a warning saying that an electric fan should not be your primary means of cooling when pulling heavy loads..... I'm sure someone who knows more than me will chime in soon...
