Any of my fellow 1st genners going to the Scheid Diesel Extravagansa in Terre Haute,IN August 26-28? Should be a great time, I'll be on vacation that week, 22nd to 29th, so I'll be there. Probly won't dyno as I haven't done anything to my truck since IRP. I'm thinking twins with the tax check , then dyno IRP next summer. I plan on driving the 89 one day, then the 85 crew cab the next, will be putting want ads on my 85, wanted: dually fenders, call me on my cell if ya got any LOL. hey, where did you get those mounts for your guages? Specifically, the pillar mount?

 

I have to work saturday and sunday, I am not sure, I have friday off, I may try and make it down to watch my buddy pull.... if some concert tickets i'm trying to get don't happen...

unfortunately I won't be making it... going to a concert... next truck even for me will be Indy Jamboree.

 

Looking good for friday should be able to be there around noon or so. Probably be by myself though. Seems as though some people have to work all the time to make payments on their new trucks. lol.

So how are the 1st gens doing on the dyno? Or in the pulls? For those of us who can't make it.

 

FTD, too bad I missed you. I saw a red 1st gen that looked identical to yours except no black paint along the bottom. It was parked next to Scheids dyno. Did you drive yours or is it not completed?

I didn't follow the dyno's much, I was too busy watching EVERY pull. I did hear a stock 1st gen 5sp ran 132hp or so on the dyno-jet. Also an old Ford with 92 Cummins put down 302hp or so on the mustang (Scheids dyno).

I drove my 85 on Friday, my 89 on Saturday. No luck on my want ads in my window for a dually fender.

I think this year was bigger than ever. They had 89 trucks hook in the street class on Saturday.

 

i drove our dmax, like half the other people there. It was cummins, Dmax and a hand full of strokers.
