I would only use Spicer u-joints. Spicer part number 5-160x premium greaseable 1410 series u-joints. My straps are still holding. Save that yoke money for something else.

Thats the U-joint i just put in it a few weeks ago with a new set of straps and bolts and one of the u-joint caps has movement forward and rearward. Last owner stripped one of the bolts and left the strap loose and drove it for quite a few miles like that so my yoke is toast and i will have to buy one any how and would rather have the ubolts than the straps. So it has 1410's?

Yep 1410, I promise. Last time I replaced mine, I bought some replacement bolts and straps from NAPA, they were junk, didn't fit snug/properly, ended reusing the OEM Spicer straps. I would stick to OEM.

Working at the other end, I recently replaced the transmission yoke on account of the u-joint sliding back and forth, about a 1/64".

I also picked up a box of the NAPA straps and bolts.

They were such a poor fit, that I put them in the glove-box for a rare emergency, and ordered a set of Spicer straps.

The Spicers fit like they were supposed to.
