At 45 indicated I'm going 70 according to the GPS...
The kidney bean 16.5" alloys came with the 1972 truck, 5 of em and I think those tires were the best choice as far as size, load rating and cheapness in a 16.5 " tire...

Trooper, im glad my piece contributes to something for some one. My goal for this truck is to make it look mean, burrly, and tough. i need to get a visor, flat black primer, tint my windows, and build a deer slayer bumper but im also gunna hang my tire chains off of the bumper too. with locks of course so no one can take them. that should make it look like an alaskan truck from back in the high country lol but i live in montana so close enough
Feveree40, that truck of yours was my kick in the but to either by a 1st gen diesel or build one at any cost. Well, a poor high school kid cant really buy one so i bought 3 and built one ahhaha.
Richie, i love both your trucks, but one question. Do all those gauges in your ext. cab bug the crap out of you? lol cuz they'd drive me insane sitting on the tops of the dash. very nice set up tho

From where I sit, 6ft tall, they do not block the front of the hood so they are not in the way at all. I really don't even see them unless I look at them. When I built it I kept checking to see if it was going to interfear with operation. One thing for sure is I have the only oneof those. I have a new old stock 4 gauge banks dash pod for my 89. I have not installed it yet due to not having gauges for it yet. I will have 7 in that truck also. I already have a tach on the colume, egt and boost on the pillar. I have a fuel pressure gauge on the dresser but still need 3 more gauges. Most likely tranny temp, engine temp, and oil pressure.

Yeah, the PO put the holes in the dash for some big truck gauges. Pretty hokey
