Well its back together now. And I did weld the tubes to the pig.

When I ordered the perches I had em blow some extra spring pin holes so I could offset the axle back and gain an inch of wheelbase

Why didn't you add a bracket to the top to build a set of ladder bars?

Jon, because a ladder style creates forces I don't want, You will never see a ladder style bar on any truck I own that I pull with.

Diesel Head, I got 2 pulls left this year, theres a cancer benefit pull in Lincoln on the 8th at the event center and on the 15th there is a pull up n Tekamah

Ended up in 5th out of 7 trucks. Got a brand new set of 33x12.5 Interco STS's on the truck and slid my hitch forward about another foot from where it was. Was hopin that they'd help a lot more than they did, but I could definately tell it was bitin a lot harder than previous pulls.

Only got 1 or 2 pulls left for me this year, not for another month or two though.

So my season is finaly done thank GOD.

Heres a little summary of where i placed and what I tore up. THis has been the worst year for carnage I've ever had. This last weekend I had some very extreme carnage on the dyno. I kicked the rear shaft on a 5th gear pull with 110mph wheel speed, I wasn't impressed with the numbers but the curve is beautiful. When the shaft decided to leave it whipped bad and broke the rear extension housing on the 4500 then a piece went through the 5th gears and exploded the case and top cover on the 4500.

So heres how the year went.
1- 1st place
2- 2nd place (technicly 1 was a dq)
2- 3rds
2- 4ths
And some mid pack finishes

Crap I tore up including my dyno carnage.
Spring perches 2 times
spring center pins
traction bar axle mount
traction bar frame mount
1 set of traction bars
3 driveshafts
1 u joint
3 sets of straps
2 d80 yokes
1 rear extension housing
1 nv4500 case
1 nv4500 top cover
5th on the main and countershafts.

Ony went to 2 pulls this year that I didn't tear somethng up.

I see the drive shaft is layin on a camper table....your not reduced to living in a camper down by the river just so you can afford your pulling addiction are you ? ?

Welp my pulling season came to an end 2 weekends ago in Ogden Utah at Weekend on the Edge put on by EDGE products. They had drags, dyno, and pulls. I was plannin on doing all 3 but got stuck in traffic on the way down and didn't make it to race in time. I ended up dynoing and ran 483 hp and 954 ft lbs of torque on Edge's dyno, I was told I was spinning on the rollers cuz they didn't have the straps tight enough. Then they forgot to unluck the rollers once and my tires were spinning on them. I was only making 35 lbs of boost on the dyno so it makes sense. Most people that day were running low, the highest dodge was only 660. Everyone was complaining how unaccurate the dyno was. I didn't care too much as I'm just pretty curious. There were 2 other VE 1st gens there and one ran about 280, and the other ran 320ish with a decent twin setup so I didnt feel too bad at all. A lot of people were asking me if I had a common rail under the hood I think I ended up in 10th out of 35ish dodge trucks that showed up.

I pulled late Saturday night in the 3.0 class. It was a cold night so all the diesels were running well. I haven't heard the results back yet of how far I pulled or what place I got yet since I loaded up and left soon after, but a friend of mine said he thought I took 3rd out of 8 trucks in my class, but I'm not 100% sure yet. They will email me soon. The truck did feel like it ran strong, and I was injecting a little bit of water this pull since the rules allow in the 3.0 class.

Here is a few vids, the last one is an in cab video.

All in all I have been very happy with the 14mm VE all season, it has seen 3500+ rpms and is still goin, probably have over 1500 miles on now between driving and pulling. Its been fun competing with the VE pump and I still haven't broke anything yet. I've already got more plans for next year and most likely going with a different turbo... again
