Naw, I'm tappin' out. I don't need any more vehicles to try to keep running. I just can't help but look. Kinda like seeing a pretty girl walking down the sidewalk, you know you can't get or afford her, but you still look . Am I right?

Sorry Bill, not a fire sale that I have to sell to enjoy Christmas

Because of the GVRW, I have to get an annual safety and I get dinged $525.00every year!!!! I put less than 4k on her last year and I still had to get the safety and still pay.

I'm picking up a 98 with a 12V to compliment my crew. The dually will sit here till I find a buyer, no rush on my part.

I have wondered about the Canadian safety inspections and requirements there. Is it part emissions, part safety checklist, registration?

No emissions (yet) here. The safety is tied to our registration/insurance. If the safety expires essentially the vehicle is not considered registered/insured, even though the registration/insurance is paid in full.

I see a need for them because just like anywhere else we have vehicles pulling trailers that are way beyond their capacity. For my needs its a pain to go through every year. Most I ever haul is a single car trailer and it may be 4-6 times max per year. My crew and the new 98 are both very capable if I need to haul.

New (to me) rims/tires/lug nuts $700
3 Cans of monster, 2 sandwiches, and 2 bottles of water for the trip: $11.56
Fuel: $100.00
Taking the first gen on a 11 hour road trip to pick said rims up: Priceless!

I never imagined I'd like the way the black rims look, but They're really growing on me. i just picked them up to run in the winter, and the polished aluminum rims/Yokohamas will go back on in the spring. The new tires are 315/70R17D Dunlop MT Maxx Tractions. The rims are 3rd gen alloys that have been painted satin black by the PO. The lug nuts are some kind of black chrome or powdercoat.
