Next best thing would be another 1st gen, like my 1993 that had 55K when I bought it. There is a nice 1993 W250 5speed with 145K for sale here by me right now...

if i couldn't choose a 1st gen i'd go with a black 06 cummins or 05 durramax as a daily driver. Anything newer costs too much and anything older has too many miles.

No, older kingpin D60F ford axles are driver drop high pinion...

I knew everyone would have some opinions on this matter. I want a cummins but a duramax may do it I like the GM trucks the best.

If you can't have a cummins. You might as well just get a bicycle. Might I suggest a 10 speed with tassles?

If I was going to get something other than a first gen it would have to be a 97-98 12V 5speed, but life without a first gen seems unreal.
