1st gen bench to bucket???
1st gen bench to bucket???
I'm swappin seats with a buddy i am going from a bench to buckets and a console both Gen1 his is a club cab. Anyone done this i might have missed a stickybut i couldnt seem to find one, then again the puters runnin crappy tonight. Just wondering if im going to have to do any mods to either truck when i do the swap??? Thanks guys
I went from Bench to buckets and really nothing needed other then drilling a few holes for the console and i think the passengerside seat mount needed a hole or two drilled on that side to mount it. The bucket seat trucks do have more bracing then the bench seat trucks under the floor for the inside seat mounts.
I recently got front power seats out of a 2005 and put them into my 1992. had to cut off the rear brackets to shorten them and weld on flat supports to allign to the bolt holes.
Seats improved the ride considerable and nice to have the passanger seat adjust independently from the drivers. Center consul that doubles as a middle seat has great storage. power lumbar support also a nice plus on long drives.
Cost $300, sold the old seat for $100 fast on craigslist.
Bob, 92, 4x2 auto, homemade cold air intake, Bosche injectors, 16cm turbo.
soon to have 4" dp and exhaust.
