1997 3500 4x4
I am going to look at a 97 3500 4X4 5 speed CTD, loaded with 122k miles on it. I can get the truck for a decent price, of course it is a 12 valve. Is there anything I need to look for? I know the second generation trucks have a few issues to look out for, how does this truck compare to the 2001-2002 trucks as far as quality, reliability and performance?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Wrong forum you want the 2nd gen 12 valve one right here https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...play.php?f=100
A 97 12vale is the best of the 12s Look on the side of the pump it should read numbers 913 the ppump with the best cam drive for max fuel deliver. And the engine has a 303 grine cam stock. You could only get this on a 97 an 98 12 vale. They will tack 3000 rpms stock
