1992 Dodge D250 Power window thread

I installed a new Window Regulator and power window motor in my 1992 Dodge D250 LE truck this weekend. I read every thread I could find to walk me thru process. I also replaced all channel trim and window trim so everything as it relates to my power window is new.
I am stumped on 2 items:
1.) If I wind window down it sinks far into door and the wheel on the regulator comes out of the track. Should there be a stopper here that would not allow the wheel to roll out of the track?
2.) Motor is strong and everything tracks correctly but I still need to help my window as it goes up. I realize trim is new but I am thinking when I bolted my window motor to the regulator I could have tightened the spring more. Is there a setting or guideline I should go by when mounting window motor to the regulator....

Any help is is appreciated - thanks

IIRC there should be a window bump stop to keep it from going all the way down.. and the after market channel trim is tight, I would use silicone spray in the channel to see if it would help the window slide easier.. don't use w-d 40 it makes the rubber swell

Thanks for the pictures - somehow that piece is not in my door so I will have to fabricate something or put a stopper on the track somehow that would limit the down travel on the window and ensure slider ball on regulator does not come out of track.

Have you checked to see if it isn't broken off and laying in the bottom of the door?

I did look I wish it was there..... I am assuming the piece is screwed in thru the bottom of the door and either riveted or welded to the inside side door panel.

You can see in the first pic the upper is riveted .. I didn't look to see about the bottom. Maybe A local junk yard might have the piece you are looking for, or you could always give Oliver a shout he might have have one in a bad door.

I have a junked door you can have it. Driver's side.

manual says to use bolts and nuts. I put nutplates on mine and use 10-32 screws. It's pretty easy. Note the fsm is wrong. Do it with the glass down. There's a youtube video.
