Does anyone have experience with the mechanical speedo on the 89 all I can come up with on here is answers for the trucks equipped with the electrical units. My cable is disconnected from the transmission (2wd getrag) and the end of the cable does not look like it mates to the piece on the tailshaft. It would be a big help if somebody could show me a picture of their setup or a diagram of the parts in this area so I can find out if I'm missing a part or something is broken

 

Here ya go... there's a few pieces to it because it converts the mechanical drive to electric. The offset gadget changes the ratio, dependent on the axle.
