So my Bosch 190s are on the delivery truck right now. I can't wait for them to get here. I just cleaned out the holes in the engine a bit and cleaned up the locking nuts and all the hardware. Can't wait. Been driving the wife's 91 VW Cabriolet for the last week or so. Nice car with the top down...but somehow not the same.

lol....well, they're in. What fun those are. The little return line was the hardest part to get back together...I had bent it a bit to get out of the way and there were a few little ditties that made it hard to get back in shape. The front engine pick point was the worst, I think...especially because I couldnt find my 18mm and had to use a crescent wrench instead.

First drive...they sure blow a lot more smoke when I give it even moderate throttle. My pump was turned up giving me about 24 psi previous...now about 28 max. Seems to be a little peppier and it seemed to smooth out my engine a bit, which was the goal. Have to report back after a few more drives for real thoughts on the setup.

We too. So far it isn't so impressive. I mean, it's big with generally big tires, but I've been averaging 16ish around town. Of course, it's hard to keep the ol foot out of her, but still..

Well the 190s have been smoking up the place...lol. I turned my pump down 1/2 turn (didn't lose any real boost, which is weird) and dialed back the star wheel to stock and the smoke screw to just below stock.

Still kind of smokey, but at least a lil more controllable.

I'm gunna go drag 4k down to the river for a few hours...That usually makes some smoke...we'll see how it works out.

What's the hole size/count on your 190's?

That's all I have to go by. Maybe that chart is for 2nd gen tips?

Thanks

I have no idea. I just did a little research and found they were a cheap and effective solution to my problem.

Well, I turned the pump down too much...driving with the boat was a pain in the nuts in stop and go...the idle was so low the oil pressure light kept coming on. Lol. Fixed...lesson learnt!

Best money you'll ever save for! I love mine - thought about going with 190's but decided I could get DDP4's, turn my pump down to allow me to tow like I want, and still have the scalability if I need/want more fuel for a bigger charger later on. Just because you buy a big injector does not mean you have to keep your VE maxed out......

yea keep in mind the old DDp4's are now called DDP3's...which makes sense. since there was never a first stage to begin with

Or you can keep it maxed out and install a Valet switch and control your right foot. Who wants to turn the pump down.
