14mm Pump Upgrade Search
14mm Pump Upgrade Search
Alright guys I need more fuel. I have almost no smoke trail on the upper rpm's and my power kinda drops off. So I need (i think) a 14mm head. See sig for other mods. I am going to do Huge (if I can find them) Injectors, twin turbos and a high volume electric fuel pump. The electric pump will hopefully keep the VE fed and stop the pump from melting down with the 14mm head. Then the larger injectors should hopefully be more efficent. So............................ To all with 14mm kits that have not installed them please, please PM me!
I have two seized 14mm hydraulic heads that you can have.
I couldn't get them to last. Brian (kta cummins on the diesel central site) is still running one as far as I know. Don't know if there are any "extra," but he would be the one to ask. They sure make power!

I know he was one of the first to top 400 with some honed PODs in 02 or 03. I started a thread on the TDR about 400hp VEd truck, and he came back with "a 400hp true 1stGen, you guys are nuts

my friend just washed the cylinders down in his pulling truck, brand new BUILT motor from the pan to the valve cover, it was a p-pump truck and had too much fuel going to it, it was bad, sounded like a cat that got caught in a weed eater.
Ya I plan on using the 14mm and a monster set of injectors on a big twin set-up for mostly draging/dyno runs and then using my smaller BD injectors for daily use. If I can get the injection pump turned down enough I may keep the larger injectors in all the time. I obviously want to avoid slobbering fuel into the cylinders so I'll be carefull with this set-up.
cylinder wash-down is where one has so much fuel, that may not be spraying into the proper spot, basically washes away any lubricity afforded to the cylinder walls by the crankcase oil (see scored cylinder walls/rings).
Clear as mud?
Ok I think I get it do you have to replace the whole IP? So I don't need to worry about washdown with a stock truck. Also someone on here (I do not remember who) had a strange throttle linkage to their IP, way different then stock. I was just wondering what that is, I do not mean to go off track. I's starting to break out of my cage and see what is possible with these trucks

No, and this is by NO means a "Bolt-On Kit". By a long shot. You're basically creating something that Bosch never had in mind I think. Very close tolerance skills are a necessity. Last I saw, the mortality rate thus far is 50% or worse.
