12V Bosch VE Pump torque specs?

12V Bosch VE Pump torque specs?
I am resealing the VE Pump on a 93 12 valve and when I pulled the delivery valves from the distributor head I found some pieces that I did not expect to see. Does anyone else have these little metal piece above the springs? Can anyone tell me what they are called and their purpose? Ive never seen these before and thought that the springs were supposed to be longer with a small washer/shim on top. I have scoured the inter web and can not find them in any pics, diagrams, or parts lists. I’m hoping one of y’all gurus can help me out here. I am also needing torque specs for reassembling the pump. Thanks

I usually find that if I take something apart, I can usually get it back together correctly on the same day. Sometimes my memory will work well enough to do it a day later. More than that and it's a crap shoot. I'll be 69 in June so that time gets shorter every year.

Thanks guys, that link was great and very helpful. That’s the only picture I’ve seen that had the same delivery valves as mine. I apologize for not posting pics. I tried to but I guess it didn’t work. I’ll try again now just for reference.
