I think you would need to trim more than the plastic.

With the stock wheels and 37s I trimmed the bottom of the fender and some plastic. So some metal trimming was required. Not to bad, but the tires rubbed the control arms pretty good and the sway bar. That is with 3" springs.

With the Weld wheels, that I think have the same backspacing as the H2s. I not only trimmed the fender I bent back the pinch weld. But all the control arm and sway bar rub went away. No rubbing.

I have thought about the some of the 1/2" longer control arms instead of the trimming. But I already trimmed and things are fine.

I think some one else is running 37s with no lift. Cant remember their user name now. Im sure I will remember in a bit.

Thanks for your replies. I want to do this to reduce my RPM's on the highway and to get a look that not everyone has. I want to get it right the first time so as not to spend a bunch of dollars on trial and error. I want to run either BFG's or Hankook MT RT03's in a 37/12.50/37 size. Thanks again.

Anyone know if 35" Toyo MT's will rub on the control arms with stock rims & a leveling kit? My 325 Toyo AT's do, but I know the MT's aren't quite as wide - 12.5" vs 13" I think. Just wondering if they are narrow enough to eliminate the rubbing, or just reduce it some.

Here is what I did!

I have 3" coil spacers on the front of my 03 and I replaced the rear lift blocks with one four inch to maintain my rake. I have 37x12.50/17's on factory rims but when I turned from stop to stop the tire would rub the upper control arms, so i drilled and tapped the steering stop, added a grade 8 3/8" bolt that is bottomed out to ruduce the amount of turning. I lost some turning radius, but I have gone 70K+ miles that way and love it. I think that if you add backspacing to pull the wheels out it to miss the control arm you will hit the rear portion of the fender. I also had to add super lift HD ladder bars to eliminate axle wrap that caused a vibration and ate u joints.

Here is a quick picture I snapped yesterday. It really does the truck no justice, the sun was going down. I will try to get a better one today and put it up in a new thread.
