Which plate?

Im buying a 98 12 valve auto. And im looking at plates. Im not used to the 180hp pump so what do you guys think? Oh by the it has a goerend transmission stuff. But how much and what is still a mystry to me i plan to find out asap. Also wondering if there is anyway to find out what the truck has in the transmission any ideas?

take the stock plate, grind it to a 10 plate (flat with a outward curve at the end) and slide it to the front of the truck. boost elbow and of course gauges. its not much different than your pump on the 97. the only difference is the injectors i believe.

if you plug the elbow you should at least be able to see 30 psi if youve done the plate mod. The fuel is too restricted stock so it wont move enough air to make bigger boost numbers even with the gate plugged so you have to do something to the plate i would reccomend grind it then slide it all the way to the front, then you should have no problem makin 30 -35 psi. i have a boost elbow set to 35 and she gets there pretty quick when im rollin.
