Check and clean all of your ground connections, if that dont help you have a speaker wire short or a blown diode in the alternator.

CaseIH, believe it or not, takes time for people to read your post.......

Rob has the only thing I can think of, since no ignition in these things, Alternator diode would be my first guess.

Do your speakers run to an amp or directly to the head unit? It sounds like a weak power connection on either one or something is grounded that shouldnt be. More times than most, it is a weak ground. Clean and sand all your connections and make sure they are tight. I had to weld grounds before to get the alternator sound out of an amplifier feed.

Look at your left battery at the pos post. You see big wires going to the starter and the other battery. You will also see a smaller wire feeding the fuse box right behind the battery. This wire carries everything on the truck but the starter. This includes the alternator. So if this wire has corroded contacts you would get noise introduced into the system. I had this happen and I could actually see the dome light flickering when at idle with the lights on at night. after a while it threw a high voltage code. A meter showed me where the problem was. That wire was replaced with an aftermarket wire and had a bad connection at the battery.

As stated it could also be grounds and diodes.
