Where to get a 1995 PCM
Where to get a 1995 PCM
Anyone know a good inexpensive place to get a PCM for a 1995? Once this heats up a little, the tach stops working, won't go into OD, no cruise, no A/C, and it stops charging.
No one seems to have a PCM available for the 94/95.
Thanks,
Tobin

Good luck, it's hard to find an inexpensive one.
Junkyards have been striped of them.
Dealer can get you one for $700.
I would try ebay. Remember you need one for an automatic only.
You're lucky though, '94 and '95 are the only years that are interchangeable.

Start with the simple stuff, check air gap, connections, wiring all the way to the PCM.
I'll check the air gap but she works fine until it gets a little warm under the hood and she stops working. I even put the PCM in the other 95 and it did the same thing.

Be careful with the '94-'95 automatic ECMs.
Back in the day, they were known for having problems that caused the overdrive to randomly dis-engage.
The fix was Chrysler superceding the OEM module with an updated one (Technically an "unofficial Recall").
There are still some of the old part numbered ones floating around out there.
I used to have the OEM part number and Googled it once and came up with comments like I outlined above.
Mark.
