What is this (pic) ??????

On my new to me 98 12v There is a rod with heim joints on it going from axle to frame , guess ing it has something to do with brakes , just to lazy to go under and look at it right now lol.Also a couple more pics for ya to drool over.

load sensing portoting valve for the brakes i would do away with it their is a tsb for it they sell a replacement hose for it

Intresting , Is the TSB because it causes brakes to fail or something a little less hurtfull ??????

Just bought it , looked for 3 years all over Canada for one and found it in the little city where I travel for work. Wanted the long box for my sled deck.Truck is very solid with no rust.Even has lighted vanity mirror for the driver so I can keep lookin pretty.

The proportioning valve isn't used on early trucks and their brakes work just fine. What the valve does is increase rear wheel braking force when there is more load in the back. Many people disconnect the rod and tie it up to mimic a heavy load.
