Over the weekend the WIF light came on. I drained it several times,with no evidence of water in fuel. I was using PS with Marval Mys. Oil for the extra lube as many due. When I first bought the '94 CTD the wire was broken off & I sodered it back on..light comes on and off..but mostly stays on.No miss in engine for white smoke to speak of....has anyone else replaced theres? I see geno's sells them for $21.99 thanks in advance.. ( got 19.4 MPG over weekend trip of 650 miles, at 70-75 MPH )

 

Yes I replaced mine...looks like they took the filter off without un-plugging it,which pulled the wires right out of the connector...For the price,I would replace it..

 

ive lost those wires long ago haha. that silly sensor is very sensitive..If i washed my engine it would come on. I have neevr replaced I just change the filters 3 times/year. I have since then bought solid filters without a water separator as a just in case filter because the water separator tends to leak...not to meniton the solid filter is much much cheaper

 

I'm going the MR T route , just getting a filter with a drain **** on the bottom , same as our case Tractor uses, my WIF sensor has been unplugged for months now , after the last filter change , it would not go out , so I unplugged it.
