water in filter-now what? HELP HELP

Ok I had this P7100 in a generator, 4BT.

It was missing on idle- fuel filter was filled with water and alge. The Jet-A drained from the tank looks clean...
The lift pump does not seem to prime? Maybe we killed it with water. Very strange to have a filter full of water an none remaing in the tank. Tank was 3/4 full.

Any help.. kinda stuck,

Check the filter screen in the fuel pre-heater if equipped with one

I live in the cold PWN, and recently discovered alge in my 55G barrels, Power service sells a biocide- Cleaned up my fuel system quick, the dead alge did plug both my pre screen and filter but its spotless now!
No more hording cheap diesel in the off season for me
