Wastegate discussion

Gentlemen,

I installed a four inch exhaust system and seemed to immediately lose waste gate operation. I have to feather the throttle to keep boost down on my stock WH1C with the stock 12CM housing.

Is it possible that wastegate will not regulate my set up or is there something else wrong? I also want to relocate my boost elbow to the compressor housing and need some silicone hose to do that with. Where can I get that hose from?

I will pull the turbo off and pressurize the wastegate actator to check operation. If the actuator is moving, I will assume the wastegate is working properly.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Ronnie

changing your exhaust wont affect anything with the wastegate.

Don't pressurize the wastegate with more than about 30 psi of compressed air.
I can't count how many folks who have blown out the diaphragm with full compressor pressure.

Your new exhaust system should have made no difference in the wastegate operation unless maybe you tweaked something during installation.
