voltmeter at 8

The other day as i was changing the oil filter i shorted between the alternator and the block and got a small arc.Now i noticed the volt meter at about 8 volts.I removed the alternator and had it checked and it checked good.I noticed at the end of the wiring harness where it connects to the 2 small screws on the alternator there is a small rectangular plastic box.Its sealed and you cannot get it apart but i suspect my problems in there. Any idea's?

Look for a blown fuse in the PDC. It is a 120 amp cartridge and about $7
