Volt guage acting weird

Everytime I start my truck, the volt guage sits at 8 for up to a minute and then will slowly go up. Then it will drop and go right back up. I have been told that this is due to the bank heater. Is this true and if it isn't, what could it be?

Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

Ron

As stated above, it is your grid heaters cycling. They draw a lot of current which is the reason why the voltage drops down so low.
